MY CREATIONS

In the Making...

Before I can stuff my products with a polyester filling, I typically will crochet all the individual parts of the animal separately.

Once filled, I can begin closing up each part and use leftover yarn of the same color to attach them all together.

Comfort is Company

My hope is that these stuffed animals will bring the patients a sense of emotional comfort. Additionally, they might ease the sense of loneliness often brought on by fear of the unknown.

I'll be You're Friend

I chose to create animals that typically represent companionship- whether that means a common household pet, or a familiar cartoon figure. This specific animal selection is intended to remind patients of any age that "I am here for you, no matter where you go."

There's Something for Everyone

When it came to the colors of my products, I made sure to stay inclusive and gender-neutral. The color of something is a major part of its appeal, especially when I am aiming to create something that would ideally help the emotional comfort of someone. I wanted to remember that the visual appeal of something can induce comfort, ease, and pleasure.
